Here is part II from my excursion yesterday. It seems that, thanks to the water discharge from the local sugar plant, there is an area of open water in the Saginaw River. It also seems that the local Mallards discovered this before I did.
Here is that water discharge I mentioned. It releases warm water that keeps an area of the river from freezing, to the obvious delight of the ducks.
Looks like a lovely spa adventure for them. I love it. Warm water? I'll take your word for it. NO polar bear club here. Crazy ducks.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. Remember, warmer does not necessarily mean warm. You will notice the snow falling in some of the pics. I think the southbound ducks are the smart ones.
