I realized I have not posted anything in several weeks, so here is a quick and simple one. Wendy and I took an anniversary get-a-way weekend last week, and made a day trip to the Houghton Lake area. Well, with my fascination with birds and wildlife (one shared by my wife by the way) you know we ended up in a wetland area. Here are a couple of shots from this chilly rainy day.
Rain over Houghton Lake.
Houghton Lake Flats, a wildlife area next to the lake.
Bald Eagle on a platform.
Great Blue Heron wading through the weeds.
Flowers on a bush along the edge of the water.
You don’t see one of these every day!
Hope you liked them! Sorry it took so long to put some fresh picks up. I will try to do better.
Okay I'm gonna try this again. I love these shots; simple and great in color, diversity, texture. I'm a sucker for eagles and herons are so graceful to watch. I was glad to see you got some time away with your favorite playmate. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have missed you and your talent. Thanks for posting.
I am glad you finally made it. Dang technology... Thanks for visiting, I am glad you like them. I love the wildlife too.
ReplyDeleteI know I am behind in posting, but I have been concentrating on Marching Band pictures lately, so I have not had much time for funtime photography.
